Harcum College Names Its Men’s and Women’s Athletes of the Year
Octorara High School graduate Dom London and Great Valley High School graduate Courtney Stevens have been named Athletes of the Year at Harcum College.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement was made via video (see above) on the college’s social media channels.
Harcum’s Varsity Award for Athlete of the Year is presented annually to the male and female athlete who represent the ideals of sportsmanship, leadership, service, and who excelled both athletically and academically.
London, a member of the men’s basketball team, ended his tenure at Harcum as its third-leading scorer of all time, having tallied more than 1,000 points. He was named an NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) All-American and a two-time Academic All-American. He maintained a 3.7 GPA and will continue his career at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Stevens, a member of the women’s soccer team, was named to the NJCAA All-Region First Team. She maintained a 3.9 GPA in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
