First in Series of Montgomery County Bicycle Tours to Focus on Homes, Gardens of Main Line
Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board has announced the first in a series of bicycle tours throughout Montgomery County titled “Homes and Gardens of the Main Line.”
The first tour is part of VFTCB’s expansive tourism initiative that has been developed in collaboration with Montgomery County Planning Commission, Lower Merion Township, and its partners.
The new series of bicycling tours will provide residents and visitors with a way to explore the county and discover numerous special places to enjoy. The tours will also offer additional alternatives to local trails as they maximize the use of streets that are both low-traffic and low-stress.
“Our team at the Tourism Board is excited to work on this project in collaboration with the staff at the County to highlight the wonderful bike routes that can be experienced in Montco,” said Ed Harris, Chief Marketing Officer for the VFTCB.
The new bike routes will be available on the Visit Valley Forge App.
The first tour will begin at Cynwyd trail and will move through Bala Cynwyd, Narberth, Wynnewood, Ardmore, and Merion Station. Two routes are available, an 8 mile and a 13.9-mile one.
