Penn State Great Valley invites you to join it for NoonTimeU, a series of webinars designed to address timely topics regarding business response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each webinar runs from 12-1 PM:

Effective Supply Chain Management During a Global Pandemic on Wednesday, April 29

As procurement teams struggle to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, many have been trying to keep up with the news about global response measures and working diligently to secure raw materials and components and protect supply lines. This webinar will provide insight into best practices for supply chain management during a global emergency.

The webinar will be led by Kyle Hanlan, MPA, who is an instructor for the Leadership Development, Lean Six Sigma, and Supply Chain Management certificate programs. He serves as the Director of Purchasing at Thomas Scientific, where he is responsible for sourcing new suppliers, establishing relationships with vendors, negotiating purchasing contracts, solving order grievances and discrepancies, and managing the purchasing process from the request for proposal stage through delivery.

Quick Reaction Project Management During a Crisis on Thursday, May 7

During times of uncertainty, your suppliers, staff, and customers can and will be affected. This webinar will discuss effectively running virtual project meetings, distribution of communication plans, taking on issue and risk, and demand management from a global perspective.

The webinar will be led by Adam Selverian, who has taught in Penn State Great Valley’s Project Management certificate program for over a decade. He currently serves as the Global Program Management Officer at Chubb Insurance, located in Malvern.

Ethically Beating Your Competition in a Crisis on Wednesday, May 13

The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the world as we know it. How can we approach crises like this not as moments for opportunism, but as opportunities for ethical leadership? This webinar is designed to provide participants with introductory skills needed to increase speed value realization, lower risk, and build a competitive advantage.

The webinar will be led by Dr. Marc Hanlan, who has been teaching at Penn State Great Valley for the past six years. His professional career has spanned over 30 years in OD/OCM consulting, 14 years in executive management, and 15 years in teaching OD graduate school. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Change, an M.A. in Human and Organizational Development, and a B.Sc. in Physics/Astronomy.
