Based on the information found on state and county’s COVID-19 website and the Commissioner’s Tuesday afternoon press conference, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County, the Delaware Valley and Pennsylvania.
As of 10:00 AM Tuesday morning, Montgomery County reported 160 new COVID-19 cases.
The new positive COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday are from 38 municipalities, none of which reported their first case.
A breakdown of Tuesday’s reported new positive cases follows:
- Age Range: 17 – 101
- Age Brackets: (0) 0 – 9, (1) 10 – 19, (22) 20 – 29, (26) 30 – 39, (25) 40 – 49, (34) 50 – 59, (16) 60 – 69, (13) 70 – 79, (16) 80 – 89, (7) 90 – 99, (1) 100 – 109, (0) 110 – 119
- Gender: 86 females, 74 males
- Hospitalized: (0) No, (148) Unknown, (12) Yes
The 160 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,294 countywide.
Of those 1,294 confirmed cases countywide, 623 are male, 643 are female.
The average age of individuals with COVID-19 is 49.1 years old with the youngest patient being a 1-month-old baby and a 110 Abington man, the oldest.
Fiftynine of the county’s 62 municipalities are home to at least one individual with a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Five new coronavirus related death were reported in Montgomery County on Tuesday, moving the County’s COVID-19 death toll to 32, 19.8-percent of the 240 deaths attributed to the coronavirus statewide.

The County’s total number of reported cases represent 8.9-percent of the 14,559 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.
By comparison, as of noon Tuesday, with the exception of Philadelphia County and Lehigh County, with 4,012 and 1,146 COVID-19 cases respectively, neighboring and surrounding counties all have fewer positive cases than does Montgomery County:
