Montgomery County COVID-19 Evening Update – March 25th

Based on the information found on the County’s COVID-19 website as well as the commissioner’s press conference Wednesday afternoon, here is quick snapshot of the spread of coronavirus across Montgomery County.

There were 60 new positive Montgomery County COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday. These positive individuals are from 27 municipalities, four of which including Ambler, Lansdale, Schwenksville and Trappe, are in municipalities reporting their first cases.

A breakdown of Monday’s reported new positive cases follows:

  • Age Range: 5 to 81
  • Age Brackets: (1) 0-9, (1) 10 – 19, (9) 20 – 29, (9) 30 – 39, (11) 40 – 49, (13) 50 – 59, (10) 60 – 69, (3) 70 – 79, (3) 80 – 89
  • Gender: 25 females, 35 males
  • Hospitalized: (2) Yes, (8) No, (50) Unknown

The 60 new positive cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 219 countywide.

Of those 219 confirmed cases countywide, 118 are male, 101 are female.

The County’s total number of reported cases represent 19-percent of the 1,127 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Pennsylvania.

By comparison, as of noon Wednesday, with the exception of Philadelphia County, neighboring and surrounding counties continues to have fewer positive COVID-19 cases than Montgomery County:

The County’s 219 COVID-19 cases are spread across all ages with the youngest patient being a 1 year-old Royersford boy and the oldest patient, a 95 year-old Cheltenham man.

Incidents of COVID-19 are spread across all sections of Montgomery County.
