A charming stone colonial home with four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms is available for sale in Elkins Park, writes Paul Jablow for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The home offers gorgeous views of the surrounding flora and fauna, while the nicely-sized lot ensures that “the house gives you the feeling of being in a natural setting,” said Janis Shimon, who owns the house with her husband, Shimon Waldfogel.

The house was built in 1948 and boasts arched doorways, deep windowsills, and a brick fireplace. In addition the owners have added a family/great room with floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceiling.

This level is also home to an eat-in kitchen with granite counters, a formal dining room with a wall of windows, a powder room, and a large mud/laundry room.

Meanwhile, the master bedroom with a master bath is on the second floor along with two more bedrooms. While the third floor offers another bedroom with farmhouse-style built-ins.

The home also includes a large backyard and two separate patios.

Read and see more of this house at 8244 New Second Street in Elkins Park, listed for $329,900, on The Philadelphia Inquirer here.
