King of Prussia’s Noah Falasco, a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute student-athlete, has been named the Liberty League Men’s Track Performer of the Year, according to a staff report from the RPI Athletics.

Falasco was first in Division III in the mile as well as fifth in the 5000 meters heading into the 2020 NCAA Indoor Championship. The senior distance runner had been scheduled to compete in the mile at nationals before the meet was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He started the season in mid-January by winning the mile at the Utica College Invitational with a time of 4:15.96. Not long after he set a personal collegiate-best time in the 3000 meters, doing it in 8:18.67.

In mid-February, he set the Rensselaer record with 4:05.20 time at Boston University. He rounded off the regular season with two wins at the Liberty League Championship Meet, where he captured the mile in 4.19 minutes and the 3000 in 8.30.43.

After remaining undefeated against his Division III competitors for the season, Falasco was honored as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Male Track Athlete of the Year for Atlantic Region.
