A new Narberth-based grocery store, Pinwheel Provisions, will offer chef-prepared meals, pre-made sauces and spice blends Feb. 29 through the end of May, writes Laura Brzyski for the Philadelphia Magazine.

The pop-up store will also offer ready-to-use frozen proteins and produce, to help remove the stress of dinner-making decisions for many shoppers.

The store is founded by Anjali Gupta, an Ardmore resident whose parents own Jyoti Natural Foods. Her goal is to bring to the area home-meal trends from Europe that do not rely on takeout.

Narberth location will be Gupta’s second pop-up, following the one she opened in Kennett Square last year. She is hoping to add more Philadelphia-area shops in the future.

“Our target audiences are households with working parents and kids with varying palates or dietary restrictions, empty-nesters who love the ability to purchase healthy food in sufficient quantities, and millennials who want to eat well, but sufficiently, and are conscientious about their  nutrition habits,” said Gupta.

In addition to ready-made meals, the company provides environmentally friendly recyclable insulated tote bags and reusable freezer bags. It also encourages customers to bring their own bags and containers to minimize waste.
