IKEA, the Swedish home furnishings giant which has its U.S. headquarters in Conshohocken, is launching a new collection this month that celebrates beauty in imperfection, according to a staff report from the Home Textiles Today.

Inspired by a Japanese aesthetic that celebrates beauty in imperfection and by nature, the collection invites country and city residents to let nature inside their homes “with a bit of greenery and a wabi-sabi attitude.”

The retailer said that the new collection of furniture and home textiles “is about living a conscious and mindful lifestyle that is close to nature.”

The textiles come in hues of green with verdant patterns. This balances perfectly with the collection’s furniture that is good for both the customer’s health and for the environment.

“Overall, this launch is about creating peace of mind at home, by having a meaningful relationship with the objects we surround ourselves with,” said the company. “We take extra care of our belongings, ourselves, and nature, knowing that we are all connected.”

The new collection is launching this month at IKEA stores and on its website. Both the textiles and the furniture are made from all natural materials.
