Here Comes the Pup In Conshohocken Provide Dog Owners With Tips On Involving Their Pooches In Their Weddings

By

Conshohocken-based Here Comes the Pup service helps pet owners include their four-legged friends in their weddings with no hassle.

Ashley Summa and Ashley Holt, owners of Conshohocken-based wedding pet service Here Comes the Pup, believe that dogs definitely have their place at a wedding – but also know that some planning must be involved, writes Gina Tomaine for the Philadelphia Magazine.

For example, one of the best ways to test a dog’s modeling skills is during the engagement shoot, when the stakes are not as high as on the actual wedding day.

But when the big day arrives, it is best to keep the pooches’ appearances brief, said Holt.

“Dogs are really only needed for a half hour to an hour to capture photos and give kisses,” she said.

The best time to do this is during the first look or just after the ceremony.

It is equally important to determine who will watch the dog during the wedding. This can be assigned to somebody who knows the pooch or to a service such as Here Comes the Pup.

It is also a good idea to tire the dog out before their planned appearance and to have plenty of treats on hand.
