Three Montgomery County CVS pharmacies have recently been transformed into new HealthHUBs with an expanded range of health care services and products.

Three Montgomery County CVS pharmacies have been transformed into new HealthHUBs that offer an expanded range of health care services and products, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“The purpose of this model is to put patients at the center of their care,” said Anthony Riccardo, regional director for CVS Pharmacy.

The HealthHUB model features a broader range of services that help patients manage chronic conditions, offer more health and wellness products, and have health professionals to provide advice and personalized care alongside pharmacists.

“Customers tell us they want local access to convenient, personalized and integrated health care,” said Riccardo. “Our HealthHUB locations do just that.”

Among the new offerings available in HealthHUBs are products such as health devices that sync to a mobile phone, fitness essentials, sleep apnea products, education and counseling for patients with chronic illnesses.

There are also pharmacist-led diabetes education counseling and smart devices and plans for quitting smoking, expanded MinuteClinic services, annual diabetic exams, and wellness rooms for group events.

CVS stores with HealthHUBs in Montgomery County are 2400 Butler Pike, Plymouth Meeting, 840 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, and 835 Old York Road, Jenkintown.
