The commercial landscaping, pest control, and snow removal services company bought Signature Coast Holdings, based in Napa, California.
The company has nine locations and 600 employees in wealthy areas north and east of San Francisco.
“Signature Coast’s core values closely align with” BrightView’s commitments to excellence, said Andrew Masterman, BrightView President and Chief Executive Officer, “which is why we are excited to welcome their entire team to the BrightView family.”
BrightView also purchased Summit Landscape Group, which has 180 employees in the area around Rock Hill, S.C.
Signature Coast CEO Kelly Solomon and her staff will remain with BrightView after the acquisition is finalized, as will Summit Landscape founders Mike Knabenshue and Steve Adolph.
BrightView has more than 21,000 employees, which makes it the largest commercial landscaping company in the country. In addition to homeowners, its clients include corporate, government, and nonprofit institutions.
The sector has recently faced challenges finding workers as a result of the current combination of rising employment in the country and tighter immigration controls.
