You do not have to go far from home to cut your own perfect Christmas tree, as some of the best places for the occasion are right here in Montgomery County, writes Lisa Dukart for the Main Line Today.
With their range of live trees ready for decorating, three local farms are guaranteed to provide the perfect place for any family looking to continue the popular tradition of choosing and cutting down their ideal tree.
Boswell’s Tree Farm in Collegeville has been a community staple for over seven decades. It offers a huge selection of trees, from blue spruce and white spruce to Douglas fir and white pine. Saws and ropes are also provided.
Also in Collegeville, Corkum Tree Farm opens the tree-cutting season on Nov. 29. Its offerings include blue spruce, Norway spruce, and white pine trees.
Meanwhile, at Hague’s Christmas Trees in Hatfield, visitors can navigate the farm with a cart and saw in search of the perfect tree. Their selection includes Nordmann fir, Scotch pine, and white pine, among others.
