Husband and wife couple Dan and Britney Eppenhimer are offering free photo sessions in Valley Forge National Park to families battling with cancer, writes Beccah Hendrikson for 6abc.

Their company, BlackLevel Photography in Pottstown began with a Facebook post offering the free photo sessions which quickly grew from there.

“When we first did it, we thought it would just maybe be five to 10 families that would reach out and we’d kind of go from there,” said Dan.

However the post quickly went viral and before long they had around 90 families in line. They are still getting requests from families, as far away as Canada in the north to Florida in the south.

“They are completely free and just a way to bless them,” added Dan.

The idea came after Dan’s 25 year old sister discovered she had leukemia while she was 38 weeks pregnant.

Just days before they had completed a maternity shoot for her. Tragically, she passed away a short time afterwards. However, the images from the shoot are now priceless memories for the family, and in particular for his nephew who was born after an emergency C-section.

“My nephew is great. He’s growing so much every day,” said Dan.
