The museum, which is open to the public, is marking three decades the same year the liberal arts college is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

The museum’s mission is to educate and promote critical thinking on large scale ideas. It fulfills this mission through attention-grabbing exhibits from both national and international artists.

The art presented at the museum is modern, thematic, and thought-provoking making it ideal for an audience that enjoys discussing the deeper meaning behind individual pieces.

The collection at the museum is around 8,000 art pieces, which offers visitors much to see and discuss.

One of the latest exhibit titled “Science Fiction“ highlights the gray area between fact and fiction through the works of a dozen artists from around the world.

Stephanie Rowden’s “The Collection Speaks” currently on display, can be seen through March 2020.

In addition to its permanent collection and exhibitions, the museum also features 75 contemporary outdoor sculptures spread throughout the campus.
