Everyone coming to the grand opening will also get the chance to enjoy free pretzels, face painting, beers, and much more.

The new establishment is at 527 South Broad Street and will offer locally sourced beers, wines, spirits, coffee, and snacks.

These include 24 taps of Pennsylvania-based beers and produts Lansdale’s Boardroom Spirits and Phoenixville’s Bluebird Distilling.

“We will take great pride in serving delicious locally-produced beverages, as we’ve always supported local businesses,” said Theresa Modestine, who is opening the bar with her five children. “We see this more as a tasting room for local beverages more than a bar and restaurant.”

Modestine previously owned The Saloon in West Norriton with her family and also founded and ran the Village Tavern in North Wales.

For her latest endeavor, she is going to add some unique touches to the interior, including Lansdale period photos that showcase the community’s growth.

Local Tap has also already scheduled several events, including monthly open mic nights.
