Warby Parker, the popular New York City-based online eyeglass company, has opened its second brick-and-mortar store in the region at King of Prussia Mall this weekend, writes Ellie Silverman for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The company was originally founded as an online-only retailer almost a decade ago by Wharton graduates. However, since then Warby Parker has expanded into physical stores and now has more than 100 locations nationwide as well as three stores in Canada.

The company’s latest addition is on the upper level of the Plaza across from Lord & Taylor. On the opening Saturday, customers were treated to mini treats from Federal Donuts along with free T-shirts, custom-designed by artist Kevin Lyons.

The new store offers the full range of the company’s glasses and kids’ frames, as well as eye exams and a prescription check. Prices for prescription eyewear start at $95.

The company’s “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program is also on offer in the new store. For every pair of glasses purchased, Warby Parker distributes a pair to someone in need. More than five million pairs of glasses have so far been distributed through this program.
