It will take place this week at Valley Forge Casino Resort and it is free and open to the public.

“Valley Forge Sports is excited to be partnering with the American Corn Hole League and Maestro Sports & Entertainment to be hosting this national Corn Hole championship here in Valley Forge,” said Jon Scheuren, Associate Director of Sports for the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board. “Events like this will continue to put Valley Forge on the map as a premier sports destination.”

Corn Hole, which is played in bars and backyards across the country, is a fast-growing sport that all ages and genders can play. The event will bring in 2,000 people, players and fans to the area from across the country and internationally that will produce $1.2 million in economic impact according to Rachel Riley, of the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board.

“We want to try and raise regional impact,” Riley said.” “It’s important to us. We want to show what Montgomery County has to offer.”

Marlon LeWinter, who heads up the Corn Hole National Championships, said Valley Forge was an easy choice.

“It’s outside of Philadelphia,” he said. “We like to go around to different places to show the value of our sport.

“It’s growing rapidly. It’s one of the fastest growing sports in the country. We want it to become an Olympic sport one day.”

And here it is. In Montgomery County. The event will produce $1.2 million in economic impact. ESPN will provide coverage. The ACL World Championship will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN 2.
