Monster Tree Service, the nation’s first and fastest-growing tree service franchise, has opened a new location near Chicago, Illinois. Recently featured by SUCCESS magazine, Thrive Global, and Franchise Times, the Monster Tree Service franchise continues to build on its rapid three-year franchise system growth.

Entrepreneur Jay Weitzman recently purchased the rights to three Monster Tree Service territories in the North Shore, a region just north of Chicago. Weitzman officially launched in March and is eager to provide quality tree service to local residents. Weitzman is no stranger to entrepreneurship; he attended the Warton School of business at the University of Pennsylvania, double majoring in finance and entrepreneurial management. In fact, he first invested in franchising while still in college. Since graduating, he has built a career as the owner of a successful real estate business. Now, Weitzman is ready for a new adventure as a member of the Monster Tree Service family.

“I am thrilled to be a Monster Tree Service franchisee. I was actively looking for a suitable franchise when I found Monster Tree Service, and I knew right away it was the business for me,” says Weitzman. “I was very impressed with the feedback from existing franchisees, the professionalism from the corporate staff and the sound business model. The Monster Tree team have been incredibly helpful as I work to launch my business. They provide me with unparalleled support and valuable insight into the tree care industry.”

Josh Skolnick, CEO and Founder of Monster Tree Service, is confident that Weitzman will be a tremendous asset to the Monster Tree Service franchise.

“Jay is a perfect fit for the Monster Tree Service brand,” says Skolnick. “He comes from a very sound business background, he knows the area and has an incredible work ethic. Those are the qualities we look for in franchisees. We are very glad to have him on our team, and I can’t wait to see his growth in the coming years.”

Monster Tree Service was the first franchise tree company to capitalize on the under-served $21 billion tree service industry. Monster Tree Service has achieved consistent year-over-year growth since 2009, resulting in a thriving franchise system expected to exceed $50 million in systemwide revenue in 2019. Moving forward, as a high-upside opportunity and a recession-proof business, Monster Tree Service expects to achieve $100 million in sales by 2021.

“I am very excited to be working with Monster Tree Service. It’s a perfect fit for me,” says Weitzman. “Through this investment, I get to spend time outside (which I love), expand my business portfolio and, best of all, I get to help people in my community stay safe and improve the beauty of their real estate. I’m proud to offer our wide array of services, including tree trimming and maintenance, emergency tree services, plant health care and more, to the North Shore.”
