merisourceBergen, a global healthcare solutions leader, will host a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the commencement of construction on its new state-of-the-art headquarters located at SORA West – Keystone Property Group’s forthcoming dynamic, mixed-use, transit-oriented development in downtown Conshohocken.

The Tower at AmerisourceBergen will be a modern, 11-story facility, designed to foster collaboration, and open in 2021. The new building will house approximately 1,400 associates from AmerisourceBergen’s current Philadelphia-area campuses. To attract and retain premier talent in the Greater Philadelphia region, the new headquarters will include employee-focused amenities such as: a fitness center; onsite dining services; access to the restored Conshohocken Firehouse that will be reinvented as a gastropub with indoor and outdoor dining; walking distance to downtown Conshohocken and the Schuylkill River Trail.

It represents the first step in the wider redevelopment of SORA West, which will include a vibrant public plaza adjacent to the building; a 130-key hotel with significant restaurant space and rooftop lounge; and a 1,200+-space parking structure to support these facilities.

As a part of AmerisourceBergen’s efforts to promote sustainability and employee well-being, the company will pursue a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and will be smoke and tobacco-free.

The groundbreaking coincides with AmerisourceBergen CEO Steve Collis’s 25^thanniversary with the company. During the event, Gina Clark, President of the AmerisourceBergen Foundation, the nonprofit charitable giving arm of AmerisourceBergen, will announce the launch of a hyper-local grant program, a dedicated micro-fund in which small grants will be donated to community-based organizations within a five to ten-mile radius of the new headquarters. Previous local community partners include Simon’s Heart and Cradles to Crayons.
