Einstein Healthcare Network includes three hospitals with more than 1,000 beds, 11 outpatient centers, 42 primary care practice locations, and 8,500 employees. Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is the largest independent academic medical center in the Philadelphia region, annually training more than 3,500 health professional students and 400 residents in more than 30 accredited programs.

A data-driven, clinical quality leader for more than 150 years, Einstein continues its tradition with the integration of ZynxOrder and Knowledge Analyzer and its Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.

“Zynx offers a unified solution with a strategic implementation plan specifically designed to align our needs–it will help our physicians ensure their decisions are based on the most current and reliable evidence available to reduce unnecessary care variations while improving efficiency and care quality,” said Mary Carroll Ford, vice president and chief information officer for Einstein Healthcare Network. “We believe Zynx is the ideal partner for this initiative because of their team’s extensive experience working with healthcare organizations to implement and standardize enterprise-wide knowledge management. We are looking forward to collaborating with Zynx to advance our quality care goals.”

Knowledge Analyzer, creates a longitudinal snapshot of the client’s existing content, providing a view of their existing content and its alignment with the Zynx evidence-based standards and vital interventions. This blueprint of content will allow Einstein to prioritize their work and assures high-quality decision support now and into the future. ZynxOrder provides a systematic way to create, review, and incorporate new order sets into the EHR, facilitating stakeholder engagement throughout the organization with the right collaboration tools.

This unified approach results in a well-defined process that can save weeks, or even months, of clinician, administrator, and information technology staff time.

“As the industry pushes further into value-based care models, leading healthcare organizations such as Einstein are recognizing that their physicians need easy access to standardized, evidence-based clinical content and order sets to save time while promoting the best possible clinical and financial outcomes,” said Kevin J. Daly, president of Zynx Health. “We are excited to help Einstein analyze, review, and integrate their vast collection of clinical content so that their physicians are empowered with the most concise and complete information from a single access point to continue to deliver the highest quality care in the communities they serve.”

Einstein is scheduled to implement the Zynx solution set in the second quarter of 2019.
