Jobseekers can compete for the next big career move at RecruitmentQueen’s first-ever career fair on April 10 at Montgomery Mall in North Wales.

Unemployment rates may be at the lowest level since the year 2000, but that doesn’t mean employees aren’t looking to advance in their careers. Jobseekers can compete for the next big career move at RecruitmentQueen’s first-ever career fair in Montgomery County on Oct. 17 at Montgomery Mall in North Wales.

RecruitmentQueen President and CEO Jennifer Schultz said she’s looking to expand from her Bucks County career fair roots to try helping jobseekers in Montgomery County and nearby find employment.

“We’re taking our show on the road,” Schultz said, adding that several of the Bucks County employers that exhibit with RecruitmentQueen also hire in Montgomery County and Philadelphia. “I am excited to host our job fairs in Montgomery county for the first time and help people in that area.”

Positions will be available in a variety of fields, including customer service, sales, management, insurance, administrative, banking, clerical, finance, healthcare, retail, warehousing and more.

So far, the following employers will be participating at the Montgomery County Career Fair on Oct. 17: Children of America, Life Path, The Horsham Clinic, Friends Hospital, Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, Bayada Home Health Care, Humanus, Ann Taylor, Loft, Vertical Screen, Traffic Plan, Univest, Life Path, Inc., Physicians Endoscopy and Starbucks. Many more employers will be added.

Particularly with lower unemployment rates the job market has become more competitive. Schultz encourages job seekers to do a bit of homework before attending.

“Be sure to research the companies with career opportunities that most interest you,” she said. “That insight could help you stand out from other candidates during face-to-face interactions.”

She also suggests that job seekers bring several copies of their resume, dress professionally and attend the career fair with the confidence to land the job of their dreams.

To help job seekers gain even more recognition from local employers, Schultz encourages those looking for employment to complete a free profile on www.recruitmentqueen.com. Job alerts can also be tailored to send notifications of positions best-suited to the job seeker’s skill sets.
