How many bricks does it take to build the Comcast Technology Center, the iconic landmark in Center City Philadelphia? About 49,728. Of course, that’s Lego bricks we’re talking about.

The replica has become part of the attraction’s Miniland Philadelphia exhibit — a re-creation of some of Philadelphia’s most iconic landmarks made from more than 1.5 million Lego bricks now on display at Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia, located at the Plymouth Meeting Mall, 500 W. Germantown Pike, writes Donna Rovins in the Pottstown Mercury.

The Comcast building is just one of many iconic structures on display. Also featured are City Hall, Boathouse Row, Independence Hall, Eakins Oval, Citizen Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field and even Pat’s and Geno’s and the art museum.

Legoland Discovery Center opened in April 2017. In addition to Miniland Philadelphia, the Legoland Discovery Center includes multiple build and play zones, a 4D cinema and a Lego-themed ride called the Imagination Express. The center is geared for families with children ages 3 to 10, and all adults must be accompanied by a child.
