AmerisourceBergen Corp. is moving its headquarters to Sora West, a new development at Fayette Street and the West Elm Street in Conshohocken, Pa.

The decision brings to a conclusion a year-long search the company undertook to find a location where it could consolidate its local offices in a space that would help attract and retain employees and not disrupt its existing employee base., writes Natalie Kostelni in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“The decision to relocate was made not only to accommodate our business’s growth, but also to enhance our associates’ experience in a centralized, state-of-the-art facility that is commensurate with the innovative and exceptional work our customers and workforce expect from us every day,” the company said in a statement.

AmerisourceBergen is kicking off a project that will redefine the gateway to Conshohocken. Sora West, which is owned and will be developed by Keystone Property Group, is a $100 million mixed-use project that involves several components. Since it has secured Amerisource as a tenant, Keystone will move forward with the development of a 12-story, 427,333-square-foot building. Amerisource will occupy the entire building. The company was represented in its search by David Binswanger of Binswanger Cos.

Sora West also includes the development of a 130-room hotel with a restaurant and rooftop lounge, the renovation of an historic firehouse into a gastropub with indoor and outdoor dining, and a 1,200-space parking structure. The development will be built around a public gathering area.
