Penn State Great Valley is expanding its MBA program in Malvern to the university’s Abington and Brandywine campuses to make it easier for working adults to earn a degree, writes Michelle Caffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Penn State Great Valley has said that, beginning this fall, it will offer a hybrid course that is geared specifically toward working adults. It will have night classes held once a week at the Great Valley, Abington, and Brandywine campuses. Students can choose which campus they want to take their classes at each week. Around half of the coursework will be done online.

“We’re not the only MBA in town,” said Damien Fernandez, chancellor of Penn State Abington. “What we offer is great convenience around structure of the program and geographical convenience as well.”

The expansion is in response to the growing demand for continuing education from students, alumni, and businesses.

“Those are conversations we have heard, that if this type of MBA is there, the demand is there,” said Fernandez.
