VFTCB joins up with Montgomery County Commissioners to cheer on Eagles

To celebrate the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board has joined together with the Montgomery County Commissioners and county staff, tourism officials and representatives, local mascots, and Norristown Area High School students (as they are also home to the Eagles) to sing the Eagles fight song and cheer the Eagles on! The Montgomery County Courthouse will even be lit up in Eagles’ green. Go Birds!

The fun begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday at on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse.


Also on hand for the fun will be:

Montgomery County Commissioners – Dr. Val Arkoosh, Ken Lawrence, Jr., and Joe Gale; Montgomery County Government Staff; Norristown Municipal Council; Norristown Area High School Basketball, Cheerleaders, Drumline & NAHS Eagles Mascot; Official Eagles Mascot, Noah the Eagle, from Elmwood Park Zoo & Bubby the Bison Mascot; General George Washington; Colonial Solider; iFly Instructor; Bertie the LEGOLAND ® Discovery Center Philadelphia Mascot; Manor College Blue Jay Mascot; Montgomery County Community College Mustang Mascot.

Employees of SEPTA, meanwhile, caught their own Eagles fever. This weekend, as they have throughout the playoffs, SEPTA employees will be wearing their Eagles’ gear in place of their usual uniforms.  The authority’s vehicles will be decked out, too, sporting “Go Eagles!” signs.

SEPTA encourages riders to wear their “football Sunday best” when taking the system this weekend and reminds those who will partake in Super Bowl activities on Sunday. For more information, click here.
