The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has published the SAT test scores for public high schools statewide – including the total mean score, the mean math score and the mean reading and writing score, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

A ranking of the top-scoring schools in the state with at least 30 test-takers – based on the total mean score, compiled by the Philadelphia Business Journal, can be found here.

Special note: The state is measuring performance differently than in the past. A full explanation from the state can be found here.

The PDE explains the gist of the change this way: Because the new SAT is a different test than the old SAT, it is not possible to perfectly compare the two test scores to each other. A score of 520 on the Critical Reading section of the old SAT may not be equivalent to a score of 520 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section of the new SAT because each assessment tests a different domain of knowledge and skills.

The newly released data is for tests taken in 2017.

The data on all Pennsylvania high schools can be downloaded at the Pennsylvania Department of Education website.

The 2016 SAT results, which were released in March 2017, can be found here.
