State Releases Average SAT Scores of All Public High Schools; See How Your Montgomery County District Stacks Up

The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently published the average SAT scores for every public high school in the state.

The newly released data is for tests taken in 2016, and can be found by clicking here.

The SAT features three sections – reading, math, and writing – with the scores of each ranging from 200-800. All three scores are combined for a composite score.


The following Montgomery County high schools, through their average composite score, ranked among the Top 50 in Greater Philadelphia:

  • Hatboro-Horsham 1579
  • Plymouth Whitemarsh 1600
  • Souderton 1609
  • Spring-Ford 1621
  • Perkiomen Valley 1622
  • North Penn 1630
  • Springfield Township 1636
  • Methacton 1686
  • Jenkintown 1687
  • Wissahickon 1701
  • Lower Moreland 1723
  • Upper Dublin 1730
  • Harriton 1754
  • Lower Merion 1766
