Montgomery County Community College to share workforce development info

In an effort to allow attendees to explore the programs the college has to offer, Montgomery County Community College is hosting an open house and symposium focused on its Workforce Development program.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, March 1, is being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the college’s Workforce Development building, 95 S. Hanover St. in Pottstown. It’s the first time the college has done an open house focused on these initiatives, according to David DiMattio, MCCC’s vice president of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, writes Donna Rovins in The Times Herald.

DiMattio said each session will present information from the actual classroom module. “They will be in an experience similar to what they would experience in the classroom — it’s real world learning,” he added.
DiMattio said the day is meant for a wide variety of audiences including business and industry representatives that want to explore the modules and classrooms, as well as community members.
