LiquidHub, based out of Wayne and one of the largest tech employers in the region, has been acquired by Capgemini, based in Paris, in a deal worth about $496 million, according to both companies.

Capgemini, a global consulting tech firm, looking to expand its presence in North America as well as its digital consulting work by purchasing the local company, which employs about 2,000 people, writes Michelle Caffrey in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Capgemini said it’s paying about two times LiquidHub’s annual revenues, which it puts at about 200 million euros, or about $248 million, for the company. That makes for a total sale price of about $496.3 million. The purchase price “illustrates the ability” of Capgemini, by using about half its free cash-flow, to complete targeted acquisitions that contribute up to 2 percent of incremental revenue.
