Your vote does count. In fact, your vote on purchasing new voting machines will also count if you take the time to go out to Montgomery County Community College Saturday morning.

Montgomery County will be purchasing new voting machines in 2018 and county residents are invited to a Voting Machine Open House on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the main gym at the Health Science Center at Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, according to thereporteronline.com

At 10 a.m. the Montgomery County Commissioners will hold a public forum to outline the process for replacing the county’s current voting machine system and give residents an opportunity to offer brief public comment.

Following the public comment period, residents will be able to view, test, and provide feedback on the various voting machines on-site. Questions should be directed to Montgomery County Public Affairs Manager Corrie Emerson at 610-278-3023 or cemerson@montcopa.org.
