Lower Merion officials take a closer look at St. Charles Borromeo for new school site

St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood is under consideration by Lower Merin School District officials as the site for a new school in the district.

Monday night, the Lower Merion Board of School Directors approved two contracts that could eventually lead to the construction of a school on the site of the historic seminary, writes Richard Ilgenfritz in the Main Line Media News.

Superintendent Robert Copeland said the district’s attorney has been in contact with St. Charles and they are currently making arrangements for their consultants to get on the site.

Among other issues the district has to work out, if it were to construct a school on the site of St. Charles Seminary, is the cost.
