K’NEX is continuing its mission to make learning more fun for everybody with a number of new STEM based kits, writes Elizabeth Foster for Kidscreen.

The Hatfield construction toy company has added seven new sets to its educational product line. The K’NEX Education Building Sets focus on science, technology, engineering, and math learning. Each of them aims to bring these concepts closer to children through problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning, and critical thinking.

The line is designed for children ages six and up and is currently available at retailers across the nation. The prices of the Maker Kits range from $39.99 to $99.99.

The sets also include STEM Explorations products such as the Swing Ride Building Set, which teaches the effect mass has on speed as well as the mechanics that handle gearing up and down.

K’NEX had previously campaigned for more STEM toys for girls with its Mighty Makers line. Now the new line features some more expensive sets such as the K’NEX Education Robotics Building System that costs $399.99.

It comes with over 800 parts that include a control box, four motors, and an ultrasonic senor offering a wide range of challenges.
