Blue Bell’s Goldenberg Group to Offer its Tenants Full Hotel Experience
Blue Bell’s Goldenberg Group is aiming to provide a full hotel experience for tenants in its newly constructed apartment building in Philadelphia, writes Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business Journal.
While this is not the developer’s first foray into multifamily development, the building at 1213 Walnut Street is its first attempt to define the future of apartment complexes.
“It’s like a W Hotel on steroids,” said Seth Shapiro, Chief Operating Officer of Goldenberg Development.
Goldenberg is developing the 26-story, 322-unit building in partnership with Hines of Houston and ASB Real Estate Investments.

To capture the full hotel experience, the partnership carefully considered the building’s positioning and placed the front door not on Walnut Street itself, but in a side alley where residents are greeted by a porte cochère.
Among the benefits are a 24-hour concierge along with a fireplace and comfortable seating in the lobby. The second floor offers amenities such as televisions, game rooms, an outdoor patio, and a catering kitchen. It also includes private alcoves and a dog walk.
Dining will also be available at the 5,000-square-foot restaurant on the ground floor looking out onto Walnut Street.
