The new owners of the Cheltenham Mall, have decided to turn the indoor location into an outdoor shopping venue by removing the ceiling.

Sun Equity Partners has secured a $54.5 million loan to redevelop and rebrand the former Cheltenham Square Mall, writes Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business Journal.

As part of this, the developer has decided to rename the mall ‘Greenleaf at Cheltenham’. The 429,617-square-foot property is currently 60 percent leased and pre-leased, with some of its current and future tenants including Home Depot, Marshalls, and LA Fitness.

Target, Shop Rite, and Burlington Coat Factory are also shadow-anchors for the mall.
