The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille franchise will open its doors to eager customers on April 3 in North Wales, writes Kenneth Hilario for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Bernie Parent, the former Philadelphia Flyers player and NHL Hall of Fame inductee, will make a special appearance to promote the bar on April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Greene Turtle is a sports-themed bar and grill chain that signed a 10-unit deal two years ago for the Philadelphia region with franchisees operating under The Integrity Group name. The North Wales’ 1100 Bethlehem Pike location is going to be the first of these.

The 6,500-square-foot restaurant will have 248 seats with a menu that includes ribs, burgers and sandwiches. The Greene Turtle first opened four decades ago. It currently has 45 restaurants with another 51 already in the development process across the country.

“We’re excited about the Philadelphia market,” said Tom Finn, vice president of franchise development. “North Wales is the first one in the state of Pennsylvania, and we’re going to have two on the Jersey side happening in the next 18 months.”
