Nutrisystem Expanding Its Meal Delivery Service

By

A Fort Washington weight management firm is making it even easier for customers to achieve and maintain their desired weight by expanding its meal delivery programs, writes Alessandra Malito for MarketWatch.

Nutrisystem is one of numerous companies that are trying to woo new customers over by offering them better access to healthy meals for people who have busy schedules both at work and at home.

As part of its new program, Nutrisystem is unveiling a number of new home delivery products.  In addition, Nutrisystem customers are given a list of foods that have been approved to pair alongside its meals, to eat as snacks or order when eating out.

Nutrisystem is also launching several new products and services including snack bars and the Lean13 plan. This starter program aims to help people lose 13 pounds and seven inches in the first month.

According to Dawn Zier, president and CEO of Nutrisystem, aspiring dieters should avoid the extreme diets that can be seen on TV shows. Instead, they should aim to achieve a balance between calories, nutrition, taste, and convenience.

“Losing weight is not about depriving oneself,” she said. “If you make a strict program where everything is taboo you won’t have much success.”
