The site asked 14,000 students which job is the most appealing for supplemental income, and Uber came out overwhelmingly on top at 44 percent. Other popular choices were Apple Genius with 30 percent and Etsy Creator at 17 percent.
For most people, schedule flexibility to fit around their primary job/study is the key. Uber specifically advertises the opportunity to choose your own hours as an advantage.
“As much as it could be a distraction – and create sleep deprivation,” said Josh Verne, Founder and CEO of FlockU, “it really is great for people and putting money in their pockets.”
