Actuary

This position will calculate and explain variances in the administrative and claims savings based on each client’s contractual requirements, including identifying emerging patterns or issues in the analysis. He/she will communicate results both internally and externally to client partners, and work with those partners to facilitate understanding, as well as reconcile any discrepancies between Accolade data sources and calculation results and client data sources and results. He/she will verify the accuracy claims and census data used in savings calculations by reconciling claims in the Accolade data warehouse with other sources of claims data provided by health plans.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Applied Mathematics. He/she should have seven to ten years of actuarial experience within the healthcare industry, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Software Engineer

This position will engage with the team to conceive, design, and implement a brand new suite of consumer-facing and business-facing applications delivered through a software-as-a-service model. He/she will code in Java, utilizing the Spring framework and other open-source technologies. The person will also analyze requirements and collaborate with other software engineers and designers, as well as ensure the quality of the code produced and support team members by reviewing their code.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background and at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related or hard science field. He/she will have more than four years of software development experience and experience in several of Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring, or other web application (MVC) frameworks. The person must have the ability to be hands-on, detail-oriented, methodical but pragmatic and work well with others.

Project Manager, Client Implementation

This position will develop, maintain, and manage project plans for customer implementations and Accolade internal projects. He/she will identify and manage project delivery risks and project plan critical path activities, and develop and maintain project issues lists and drive the issues to resolution. The person will provide support to business subject matter experts and business leaders, and act as a resource to them, to document and track business and project scope decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors’ Degree, and have at least eight years of progressive experience. He/she will have experience managing projects that include business process design, and have the demonstrated ability to produce high-quality deliverables. The person will also have experience managing people and teams in a dynamic environment.
