Sharon and Armen DiFilippo found the perfect home for them and their three children eight years ago in a family-style villa in Schwenksville, writes Sally Downey for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The family moved into the house when they relocated from Collegeville to Ashbourne Estates in Schwenksville, and have since turned it into a home filled with personal touches.

The beautiful and spacious Colonial home begins with a center hall and elegant staircase. The family room, with its stone fireplace, complements the carved Federal-style mantel in the living room. French doors open up into an office and a music room.

The first floor with its two wet bars and open kitchen, combined with two powder rooms, are also a recipe for entertaining success.

“Armen loves planning and throwing parties,” Sharon said.

The gorgeous outside completes the picture, with lush plants setting off the two-tiered flagstone patio with its grill, fireplace, and seating and dining areas, including a TV and swimming pool and hot tub.

“The kids love hanging out here,” said Sharon.
