Orion, the wealthtech giant whose platforms power 17 of the top 20 Barron’s RIA firms, has opened a striking new office hub in King of Prussia, writes Andrew Cohen for Investment News.
This marks a major leap from its humble local beginnings and signals deeper investment in the region.
The 24,000-square-foot space on Continental Drive is adjacent to King of Prussia Town Center. It is a 20% increase over Orion’s previous Berwyn office.
More than 100 employees will work from the new hub, spanning the company’s wealth management, marketing, finance and sales teams.
It’s a dramatic turnaround from 2018, when Orion’s entire Philadelphia-area presence consisted of just four employees. They worked out of a small, 1,500-square-foot space near the King of Prussia Mall.
The company has steadily grown its East Coast footprint ever since. Orion cites the region’s deep pool of technology and financial services talent.
Local touches and AI focus
The new hub includes conference rooms, wellness and maternity support rooms, a fitness center, a café, and a town hall gathering space. Its outdoor areas feature a beehive, picnic area, and herb garden.
Orion’s chief human resources officer, Julie Lane, said the investment goes beyond square footage. She called it a collaborative environment built to help the company’s workforce grow as the industry changes.
CEO Natalie Wolfsen said AI is reshaping the industry, not just speeding up tasks but changing how work itself gets done.
Even so, Orion is leaning into in-person collaboration, with its more than 1,300 employees nationwide expected to work three days a week in an office.
Every employee has also been assigned individual “AI goals” for 2026. This is part of a company-wide push toward what Wolfsen calls an AI-native workforce.
A growing fintech corridor
The expansion adds Orion to a growing cluster of fintech and wealth management firms putting down roots in King of Prussia, reinforcing Montgomery County’s status as a regional hub for the industry even as AI reshapes hiring across financial services nationwide.
