Narberth Coffee Shop Focused on Inclusion Plans Major Expansion

Narberth’s Get Cafe is expanding to a larger space, creating more job opportunities for neurodivergent individuals in Montgomery County.

A beloved Narberth coffee shop known for its inclusive mission is getting ready to grow, writes Kerri Corrado for CBS News.

Get Cafe has unveiled plans for a new, larger location just steps from its current home. It aims to expand job training and opportunities for neurodivergent individuals and people with disabilities.

Founded by Brooke and Jon Goodspeed, the cafe has become a staple in the community. Its purpose-driven approach to employment is just as important as the coffee.

Inspired by their son, the Goodspeeds built Get Cafe as a space where individuals of all abilities can learn, work, and thrive.

The new location will feature a larger footprint and an expanded commercial kitchen. It will allow the team to grow its training programs and serve more employees. While renovations are underway, the current Haverford Avenue shop will remain open.

The expansion was announced during a lively First Friday event in Narberth, highlighting just how deeply the cafe is woven into the fabric of the town.

Employees and customers alike are embracing the next chapter, which aims to build on the sense of belonging that has defined the business from the start.
