Global RV Manufacturer to Shut Down Limerick Facility, Impacting 89 Workers

Dometic will close its Limerick facility by year’s end, laying off 89 workers as part of a global restructuring plan.

A global manufacturer tied to the recreational vehicle and outdoor living industries is preparing to exit Montco, writes Ryan Mulligan for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Dometic announced plans to shut down its facility on Lewis Road in Limerick. The move will impact 89 employees and leave a sizable industrial property along the Route 422 corridor available for lease.

According to a WARN notice filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, layoffs will begin in late summer and continue through the fall ahead of the facility’s planned closure at the end of 2026.

The company said the decision is tied to a broader global restructuring effort first announced in late 2024. As part of that strategy, Dometic is consolidating manufacturing operations and relocating the Limerick business to a facility in Sparta, Tennessee. Employees in Montgomery County are not being transferred. Dometic said they may apply for internal openings elsewhere within the company.

Dometic is headquartered outside Stockholm, Sweden, and generated roughly $2.1 billion in revenue last year. It operates a portfolio of brands focused on camping, RV, and outdoor lifestyle products.

The 112,000-square-foot property is now being marketed for lease by Audubon Land Development. Located just off Route 422, the site includes warehouse, office, and mezzanine space across nearly 18 acres.
