Morgan Properties’ Massive Growth Pushes It Near the Top Nationwide

Conshohocken-based Morgan Properties ranks No. 2 nationally after adding nearly 14,000 units, growing its portfolio to 110,000.

Morgan Properties continues to climb the ranks of the nation’s largest apartment owners, the Conshohocken company announced in a press release.

The company ranked No.2 on the 2026 National Multifamily Housing Council list. It moved up from No. 3 last year after adding nearly 13,800 units, more than any other firm on the list.

Morgan’s total portfolio increased to roughly 110,475 apartment homes across the country. The annual rankings, published by the National Multifamily Housing Council, highlight the largest owners and managers in the U.S. multifamily sector.

Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Montgomery County, Morgan Properties has grown into one of the country’s most influential multifamily firms, with communities spanning 22 states. The company also earned recognition on the NMHC’s Top Managers list, reflecting its operational scale and ongoing investment in workforce housing.

Leadership says the milestone reflects years of strategic growth, with a continued focus on disciplined expansion and long-term opportunities in an evolving housing market.

That growth has been fueled by a diversified investment approach that includes multifamily acquisitions and broader real estate financing strategies.
