Audiences are invited to step into the hilariously chaotic world of the Frasier household as Montgomery County Community College Theatre Arts and the Drama Club present the spring student theatre presentation of Fairview.

The Montco Cultural Center will host performances Apr. 16-19 in the Black Box Theatre, Science Center building, Room 107, Blue Bell Campus, 1313 Morris Road, Blue Bell. The curtain lifts Apr. 16 at 7:00 PM, Apr. 17 at 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM, Apr. 18 at 7:00 PM, and Apr. 19 at 2:00 PM. Doors open 15 minutes before each performance.

The play is open to all, and parking is free. Please note: This show features mature content and language and is intended for audiences 16 and older. For tickets and information, visit MCCC.

The show is directed by Eric Mills and written by Jackie Sibblies Drury. According to Tim Gallagher, Theater Assistant Professor, “spend an evening at the Frasier household as preparations for Grandma’s birthday party are well underway. The chaos and hilarity are legit, and perception doesn’t just shape reality — it takes control of it. Winner of the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Fairview is a provocative experience that challenges spectators to reconsider their role in the stories they consume.”

Students in the Drama Club selected the show to perform last year and are excited to bring it to life, said Mills.

“There’s an ownership on their part in doing this play,” he said. “It’s really exciting because of that energy.”

He called the show “timely” and a wild ride for the audience.

“Things happen in this play that are unexpected for the audience,” he said. “It draws you in. You laugh, you get uncomfortable, and you cry. This play has everything and deals with the issues of the world right now. It’s an experience. It’s something you, as an audience member, are involved in and you have an actual connection to it.”
