Montco Restaurant Group Expands Once Again with New Doylestown Takeover

Montco restaurateurs expand again, taking over a Doylestown restaurant and rebranding it as The Station with a fresh concept.

Montgomery County’s busy restaurant scene is spilling into neighboring Bucks, as a familiar trio of local owners continues their expansion, writes Emma Dooling for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Restaurateurs Gent Mema, Orbelin Bitraj, and Joshua Friedberg have acquired the former Station Tap House in Doylestown and rebranded it as The Station. While the new venture marks their first in Bucks County, the group is well known across Montco for concepts like The Library in Collegeville and Versante in Schwenksville, as well as additional locations in Phoenixville and beyond.

The newly refreshed space, just steps from the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail Line, spans roughly 8,500 square feet and seats about 400 guests. Updates have focused largely on aesthetics, with a brighter, more upscale feel replacing the previous look.

When it opens for dinner service this week, The Station will feature a menu inspired by The Library’s eclectic offerings, signaling a slight departure from the group’s predominantly Italian concepts.

The expansion continues a steady growth streak for the Montco-based operators, who already run five restaurants locally and have additional projects underway at the Jersey Shore.
