Part-Time Student Services Assistant (Blue Bell Campus – Multiple Openings)

The Part-time Student Services Assistant will provide support to both new and returning students at the College as part of the College’s mission of access, retention, and completion, with responsibility for ensuring a high level of customer service through support of the Student Services Resource Center, duties at the Student Services Welcome Desk, support of the Enrollment Services Assistants and providing support in the Testing center. This includes in-person and back-office duties. Service touchpoints will include the use of the following methods: in person, phone, email, text, online, chat Starfish, Zoom, and other Self-Service systems to support student success.

Position 1: Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, and Saturdays as needed.
Position 2: Monday through Thursday: 2:00-7:00 PM; Friday: 12:00-5:00 PM, and Saturdays as needed.

*This position is 25 hours per week. During peak times, employees may work up to 29 hours.
**This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel between all campuses and off-site locations. The primary office location will be the Blue Bell campus.
**This position has been approved for a flexible work option arrangement. Flexible work options can be ended at any time by the College, Cabinet, and/or supervisors based on employee performance and/or as institutional needs change

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required, with three years of work-related experience required, or an associate’s degree may be preferred, with one to two years of work-related experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication, both written and oral, required.
  • Specialized training in specific software or processes may be required
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to use some discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented setting.

Part-Time Challenger Learning Center Facilitator (Pottstown Campus)

The Part-Time Challenger Learning Center Facilitator is responsible for the facilitative assistance of the daily Challenger Learning Center in-person and virtual mission programming, as well as the use of campus educational resources in support of STEM extension programming. The position is located at the Pottstown Campus and requires the ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and some holidays, as needed.

**PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprints will need to be completed before the start date.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a classroom and/or informal educational settings using computer-assisted instruction.
  • Desire to work with children of all ages, as well as adults.
  • Passionate about higher education, particularly in STEM.
  • Experience with STEM programming for youth.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess an outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
  • Able to work a flexible weekly schedule; ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
