Iron Hill Brewery is getting back on its feet just seven months after filing for bankruptcy and abruptly closing all its locations, as its first reopening is just days away, writes Erin McCarthy for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The location on Market Street in Center City is set to reopen at noon on Sunday, April 19.
This comes just months after going under new ownership, as the new group acquired the trademark and intellectual property rights for Iron Hill, as well as the transfer of five of its restaurant leases.
Iron Hill founder Mark Edelson and other former company executives are the masterminds behind the brewery chain’s revival.
“We hope you will join us as we reestablish the brand you have loved for almost 30 years,” the new Iron Hill team wrote in a recent Instagram post.
The team is also introducing new menu items, as well as a new beer called Unfinished Business.
Prior to its official opening on April 19, the restaurant will be hosting dinners on April 17 and April 18 to support local nonprofit, Sharing Excess, which deliver food to communities in need.
