Bimbo Bakeries Exits Horsham HQ While Maintaining Montco Presence

Bimbo Bakeries is moving its HQ from Horsham to Texas but will maintain a presence in Montgomery County, including Conshohocken.

A major corporate presence in Montgomery County is preparing to relocate, writes Ariana Perez-Castells for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Bimbo Bakeries USA announced plans to move its U.S. headquarters from Horsham to the Dallas area.

The company, known for brands like Entenmann’s, Sara Lee, and Thomas’, said the move is aimed at improving operational alignment and supporting long-term growth. Executives pointed to Texas’ proximity to its parent company Grupo Bimbo headquarters in Mexico, along with its existing network of bakeries, sales centers, and distribution sites in the region.

While the Horsham office will no longer serve as headquarters, the company emphasized it will maintain a strong presence in Montgomery County. That includes its 71,000-square-foot facility in Conshohocken, which employs nearly 200 people, along with additional staff across the Greater Philadelphia region.

Some Horsham-based employees are expected to transition to remote work or other regional offices, while a smaller number of corporate roles will relocate to Texas. The company also plans to expand hiring in its new headquarters location.

Bimbo Bakeries has called the Philadelphia area home since 2009, following its acquisition of Weston Foods. Despite the headquarters move, its network of bakeries, including several in Pennsylvania, will remain unaffected.
