King of Prussia is turning April into a monthlong effort to give back, with the launch of KOP Cares Month. This expanded community-wide fundraiser will support the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s King of Prussia Campus.
Organized by the King of Prussia District, the initiative builds on the success of its longtime Restaurant Week, which has raised nearly $500,000 for CHOP since 2015. The new format invites a broader mix of businesses, including retailers, restaurants, attractions, and service providers, to participate in fundraising efforts throughout the month.
Participating businesses will host donation days, special menus, product promotions, and round-up campaigns. Others will contribute through flat donations as part of the Community Champions program.
Several local favorites, including Spread Bagelry, Cork and Candles, Conshohocken Brewing Company’s KOP Taproom, and Cluster’s Handcrafted Popcorn, are partnering with CHOP patients to create limited-time products.
The campaign also includes a raffle fundraiser, an Upper Merion Area School District Pajama Day, and a family-friendly block party at King of Prussia Town Center to close out the effort in early May.
For Montgomery County, KOP Cares Month highlights the power of local businesses coming together to support a leading pediatric hospital while engaging the community.
